ATTENTION ALL
The Plan Commission and Building Commission are making a few procedure and policy changes that will take place immediately. Three major things that will be affected are:
·         Filing Deadlines for Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals
·         Technical Review Committee date change
·         Building and Location Improvement Permits Procedures

Filing Deadline For Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals

The Plan Commission staff has directed changes to the deadline dates for Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals Meetings. This does not include Technical Review; please see below for Technical Review changes. The filing deadline for petition submittal has been moved to three weeks before the scheduled hearing.  Complete Application must be submitted on or before the new deadline date.  If you plan on submitting before the deadline date, please arrange a time with Michele Lorenz to ensure someone will be available when plans are submitted. The Staff is now asking petitioners to have the receipt from the Newspaper on hand when submitting an application. Please contact the Plan Commission Staff to get approval on the Public Notice before publishing the notice in the Newspaper. This can done through email or fax.

 Technical Review

The Technical Review meeting has been moved to the 4th Tuesday of each month. This is a result of the Plan Commission deadline change. This will allow petitioners to receive all Technical Review comments and change the plans before submitting for Plan Commission. The 2 week filing deadline date will remain the same.  Projects must complete the Technical Review Process before moving on to filing for Plan Commission.  Only complete plans will be accepted for Technical Review. If you plan on submitting before the deadline date, please arrange a time with Michele Lorenz to ensure someone will be available when plans are submitted.

These changes have only added one or two weeks to the project process. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Incomplete packets will not be accepted for any process. It is suggested that a petitioner meet (or through email) with the staff prior to making any submittal to ensure their completeness.  Incomplete submittals will neither be accepted by the staff nor will they be docketed for hearing.
